About Glynn County, GA
One of Georgia’s original eight counties, Glynn County is located on the Atlantic Coast south of the Altamaha River. Named for John Glynn, who was a prior Sergeant of London and member of British Parliament, it was created on February 5th, 1777. The county is 423 square miles, and over 79,000 Georgians call it home. Brunswick is the counties only municipality and serves as the county seat.
